Long-range surveillance
CST’s SPECTREL long-range surveillance systems are designed for use in military surveillance and high-end homeland security applications.
Typical military applications include camp protection, forward observation and mobile observation posts. Homeland security applications include border and coastal surveillance as well as protection of critical infrastructure installations, such as seaports, airport and power plants.
The SPECTREL solutions are built around a highly sensitive CCD camera coupled with a ruggedized zoom lens, installed in a protective housing, designed to withstand harsh conditions. The camera and lens are bore-sighted so the object of interest stays in the picture even when the operator zooms in or out.
